JoAnne Harris is from the heartland; now living in New York City. She has attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and Juilliard, in the evening division. She is adjunct faculty at CUNY Brooklyn College where she teaches Orchestration for Cinema and in the music department at the Stevens Institute of Technology where she teaches composition. JoAnne serves as a steering committee member of the SCL in New York, a member of Women in Music, and on the board of the Ravel Study Group in New York City. She is grateful that growing up, Jeff Harris was always playing a record.
